Before you enter the Virtual Reality, we want to share with you some simple rules to keep your visit safe and protected. By buying our tickets, using our services, booking a Tour, and wearing the headsets, you automatically agree with the guidelines and rules indicated below and accept their content completely.
CONTENTS. The Virtual Reality experience included in Pompeii Discovery is mainly based on the correct historical and archeological informations given by our Guide called Storyteller, the cultural core of your Tour. The Virtual Reality experience extends this narrative consistency by using a series of digital immersive scenarios, made in computer graphics, to let the user visualize the ancient look of the indicated locations by the usage of dedicated standard head mounted displays.
The locations and roadmaps available in Virtual Reality are continuously updated and they may slightly differ in details and other scenario elements. These updates does not change in any way the nature of your virtual experience, but they are oriented to offer a more and more interesting path, filled with new contents, fascinating and enhancing the beauty and evocative force of this precious cultural heritage.
HEALTH AND SAFETY. A very small percentage of individuals may experience epileptic seizures or blackouts when exposed to certain light patterns or flashing lights. Exposure to certain patterns or backgrounds on a television screen or when playing virtual reality may trigger epileptic seizures or blackouts in these individuals. These conditions may trigger previously undetected epileptic symptoms or seizures in persons who have no history of prior seizures or epilepsy. If you, or anyone in your family has an epileptic condition or has had seizures of any kind, consult your physician before accessing the virtual reality.
MOVEMENT. Some individuals with difficulty of movement in the real life may experience a higher risk of discomfort during the headset usage. These individuals should use precautions and follow the guidelines with care.
We recommend the headset usage only if you are absolutely sure to not suffer of any of these discomforts.
If you have the suspect to potentially be exposed to any of these diseases, if you are pregnant, have sight anomalies, psychiatric or heart disease symptoms, please consult your physician before accessing the virtual reality.
CHILDREN. The virtual reality headset is not recommended under the age of 13.
PACEMAKER. The virtual reality headset may emit unharmful radio signals which may interfere with some electronic assemblies near or around. If you have a pacemaker or any health electronic implant, please don’t use the virtual reality headsets without a physician’s advise.
RECOMMENDATIONS. The headset recreates an immersive space which completely distracts the user from the surroundings. The user shall not move when wearing the headsets and he must follow all the indications of the virtual reality personnel.
Be sure that the headset is correctly worn, and that you see a single clear image. Set the volume at a safe level and don’t walk when you watch the scenario. Other safety indications are available on the site of the producer.
BEHAVIOR. Since you enter the Virtual Reality Tour, you must follow all the indications of the Storytellers and of the other personnel. You must carefully respect the surroundings: areas, structures, decorations, and everything is part of the path inside and outside the ruins must be preserved by assuming proper conduct, actions and postures to guarantee its integrity.
During the path, the User must not leave the areas indicated by the Guid / Storyteller, and must not disturb other people activities. The disregard of any of these guidelines may produce the services break, high fines and in the worst case you may be reported to authorities.
Pompeii Discovery personnel may break the service without notice for safety, order and higher priority reasons.
The procured damage of the headsets or any part of them by the user, when due to carelessness or misbehavior, is ruled by a fine including a range from 52,00 to 412,00 euros that must be evaluated on the damage type.
